a Ranking of XBOX 360 games I've played:
- Fallout 3 - Really love this game. Not the same as the old school Fallouts but it definitely gives them a strong salute and redefines itself for a new generation. VATS is great and I hope more games jump on the bandwagon and implement the system. Can't wait till all the DLC comes out, it sounds awesome.
- Assassin's Creed - Just beat this game today... I had put it off because I had heard that this game was repetitive and that it didn't stand up to expectations but I think that Assassin's Creed was one hell of a game. The storyline is interesting and the combat is a lot of damn fun. I'm really glad I finally gave it a try.
- Grand Theft Auto 4 - I'm really into sandbox games, they let me explore a world to my hearts content. GTA4 is perfect for that... Also the storyline was fun and I'm really glad the developers decided to go with a more serious, gritty tone. The game turned out really well and it's a shame that it gets a bad rap from a large proprotation of the internet community.
- Braid - Who doesn't love platforms?? Art style is brilliant, game play is brilliant, Mario throw backs are brilliant. This game is fun as hell and it has puzzles that actually make you think and you feel super smart when you actually solve them. Highly recommended.
- BioShock - Wonderfully realized world. I don't normally like horror games but this 'horror' game is not like the others. It's a very very interesting setting and the story line is brilliant. It only rates lower then GTA4 and Braid because those games fed my sweet tooth more. They are all very close in rankings in my mind.
- Gears of War - The feel of this game is brilliant. Things feel and sound heavy. When you hit a wall, it actually feels like you hit the wall to take cover. The sounds and movement of the character animation is perfect. It rates lower on the list because it did actually start to feel repetitive to me but in the end I still beat it!
- Fable 2 - I played this over my winter break... it was a nice filler but it's not a game that blew my mind. The combat is fun and it's cool to buy property and gain fame (and be noticed by the towns people) But the world didn't really have a sandbox feel, it felt very linear.... The storyline didn't stick with me, but overall it was still a very enjoyable game and it hit the spot at the time.
- Dead Rising - Love the idea of this game. A sandbox zombie game??? What's not to love? I have, however, a huge problem with this game -- It's save system. I don't really want to explain how it works but if you've played this game you know what I mean. The save system sucked all the desire I had in beating this game. It still pisses me off how terrible the save system is because it was a lot of fun to kill massive hordes of zombies. HOPEFULLY the second one will fix this problem.
Oh yeah and, what game should I play next?
