Britt and I just accepted an offer on a house here in St. Paul. Yikes -- We are going to be home owners.!

I am fermenting wort, in a week it will be beer.

I am brewing a California common or 'Steam Beer'. Right now the little yeasties are eating all the sugar in my sealed brew bucket and pissing out alcohol and farting out CO2. The air lock is bubbling like mad, letting the CO2 escape, giving off a distinct hoppy oder. I've brewed wine before but this is the first time I've made beer -- it's exciting. After it's done fermenting I'll have about 5 gallons of beer, that's 50 or so bottles of beer. I did the math using the price I payed for the kit and the amount of bottles I'll have -- it comes out to be about $3.60 a six pack. Not bad!! Hopefully the beer tastes good. :)

Cloud Cult is an amazing band. When you get to their website click on the 'Listen to Cloud Cult' link near the top and give them a listen. They are a local band up here but they are pretty big and tour all over the place. Honestly this band has to be one of my top favorites ever. No joke.
