Money, Banking, and the Federal Reserve [42 min]

In opposition of this video's bias, I actually think tricking people into using inflated paper money is genius. Too bad we're not at the top of the pyramid, huh?

New Prynn Happenings...

It looks like Spud has started writing and posting on his Prynn blog again. Here is the new post. It's a Prologue... perhaps the start of a new way of looking at the Prynn story? Pryndalius.. Hmmm.. perhaps Pryndalius is Prynn's ancient name? How again is Prynn connected to the dusty antediluvian God of Death, Olum? Who knows, but it should be interesting to see how old tales unfold in a new light.

Sometimes I remember how I miss DMing.

I touched a Wii.

Today, Britt and I went to a local Gamestop to check out their Wii kiosk. I used the Wii finder on the Nintendo website to hunt down the closest location.

We went early so nobody was there and we didn't have to wait at all to try out the Wii. The Gamestop employee was very helpful, but you had to give up some form of I.D. to get the controllers (as they are not tied down to anything). I had heard some rumors that people had to give up an I.D. AND a credit card. If that had been the case with this Gamestop I would have walked out, because I don't like being hassled. Thankfully it went smoothly.

The full version of Excite Truck was in their system, so we played that. I had read how the controls worked for this game so I was prepared, I mastered them quickly and was able to make it through the race course with relative ease. Brittany seemed to get the hang of it too but I did see her go off course a few times and crash.. hehe. :) She seemed to enjoy playing with the Wiimote saying "It vibrates, I like it when it vibrates." The Wiimote does indeed vibrate and it also makes noise! There is a little speaker on the Wiimote that makes sound effects, it's a neat idea but I hope there is an option to turn it off. The controls worked very well for the game, and the graphics looked good. The game was being played on a widescreen LCD TV... I have a normal ratio CRT TV at home, maybe it's time for an upgrade? (probably not, lol, too expensive.) Overall I was pretty impressed by the Wii, the feel of the Wiimote and it's graphics. It worked exactly as I had imagined.

I'm really looking forward to getting my own Wii. The Zelda reviews have been through the roof and it sounds like it's a near perfect game. The Wii comes out tomorrow. If you guys are interested I'd advise you to go track down a Wii Kiosk near you and give it a try. It's a blast.

I found this on the internet:

Anonymous said...

9/11 was an inside job and thus the "war on terror" is a fraud. Al Qaeda was created by the CIA and the ISI, Pakistan's intelligence service. Insurgents in Iraq simply want their country back.

The Wii Experience

On the official Nintendo Wii site there are a series of videos of people from all over the world testing Nintendo's new system. Here is the main gallery. The ones I find most interesting are those that deal with the new Zelda game. They've got me very exited. I love how this chick laughs as she is herding goats or how sweet it looks to wield the Master Sword. Or, how about this chick? She's playing tennis. Mmmm tennis. And this old dude sure takes his bowling seriously! Lol.

BIG NEWS: Rumsfeld stepping down.

That's right, Rummy is resigning as Secretary of Defense. I assume he'll be taking his standing desk with him. What a hardcore mother-fucker. I wonder if he'll carry it out of his office single-handedly.

In his place, Robert Gates will be taking the office. He looks like a well mannered boy, I wonder what kind of shenanigans he can get us into before Bush leaves office. I wonder if Robert Gates also has a standing desk.... or maybe he'll hang upside down at his desk instead, like Cheney.

Super Mario Galaxy looks sweet, too.

The Legend of Zelda Retrospective: Part 4

I never really knew much about Oracle of Ages or Oracle of Seasons. I have a Gameboy color though, I wonder if I can pick them up on the cheap. The Four Swords Adventure has always confused me, Spud did you ever rent/buy that game for your Gamecube? I wonder if it's any good.

Tenacious D movie

Here is the first 6 minutes of the Tenacious D movie that will be coming out soon. I don't know much about this movie but if it's a rock opera like how it kinda looks it will be, I'm totally there.

Barack Obama's 2004 Keynote Address

So, on my long car trips to and from work I listen to a lot of things. Sometimes I listen to talk radio, even conservative talk radio. Other times I listen to lectures, I just finished, for the second time, Famous Romans lectured by J. Rufus Fears. It's a very good set of lectures, even if Professor Fears sometimes stretches his historical stories for the sake of poetics. Anyway, for the past week I've been listening to the audio-book of Barack Obama's Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance. I got it for my birthday a year ago, democratic propaganda from my Mom, she's always trying to indoctrinate me with the Democratic party's agenda. I was suspicious of listening to the audio book for the longest time, but like I said, I finally popped it into the CD player on my drives to work.

Well, I've finished it and I must admit, Barack Obama is pretty fucking cool. His life story impressed me; Whether it was the various cultures he has been immersed in, or his struggle with his racial identity, this is indeed a man I would be proud to vote for into the Presidential office.

At the end of the audio-book there was his keynote address have gave during the 2004 Democratic convention, it was awe-inspiring to listen to, and that is why I have posted it here, so that you might also be inspired. Disregard any times he mentions John Kerry, they are the weak parts in the speech in my opinion, but they had to be in there because Kerry was the Presidential candidate at the time. Throw those parts out and imagine Obama speaking as president, how confident he sounds, how elegant and strong his words are. This is a man I want as my President.

New Legend Of Zelda:Twilight Princess Trailer.

I know, I know... I've been posting WAY too many videos on my blog and not enough text, but I'm busy with work and life and stuff and video posts are just so damn easy to do. Plus, reading words fucking sucks! Hah! Sometimes writing them is even worse! Don't you just hate being part of the literate priestly-caste of humankind? Never mind, that joke probably fell through -- I was thinking about Mesopotamia when I wrote the previous sentence. Anyway, enjoy the new Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess trailer!!
